Anti-Tampering Options

There are 6 levels of protection to choose from:

No protection. Card is not locked.
- The device will work with or without SD card, regardless of content.
SD protected against tampering. Card is locked.
- The device will work with or without SD card, regardless of content.
- The SD card provided will be locked; therefore, the content cannot be changed.
Must contain any SD card. Card is not locked.
- The device will only work with SD card inserted.
- The SD card is not locked; therefore, the content can be changed.
Must contain any SD card. Card is locked.
- The device will only work with SD card inserted.
- The SD card provided will be locked; therefore, the content cannot be changed.
Must contain the SD with correct content. Card is not locked.
- The device will only work with SD card inserted
- The SD card must contain “The_Story_of_ (something)” file; however, the other files can be changed.
Must contain the SD with correct content. Card is locked.
- The device will only work with SD card inserted.
- Micro SD must contain “The_Story_of_(something)” file; however, the SD card is locked so no one can change provided content.

We recommend using the Lightstream Pocket to lock MicroSD cards in the field. We helped develop this tool and it is useful for protecting content if you choose to load content yourself.
